Lilliput is the first land that Lemuel Gulliver visits in the book Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift. The inhabitants, though human in form, are only six inches tall. Thus, the artwork in the show is in 1:12 scale, the size of most dollhouses. The curator Cynthia von Buhler (http://www.cynthiavonbuhler.com/) builds dollhouses for her books and plays and is in the process of creating a dollhouse museum in New York City which will house tiny artworks by renowned artists. Each artist in Lilliput was given a small frame to create unique 2-D art for this exhibit.

September 25 – October 8, 2014

Curated by Stefania Carrozzini
Artists: Aaron Lazar, Anita Kunz, Bibiana, Cathie Bleck, Christina Carrozza
Cynthia von Buhler, Dana McDonald, David Mack ,Dean Haspiel, The Empire Snafu Restoration Project, Esther Westwood, Jen Ferguson, Kat Mon Dieu, Katelan Foisy, Kathy Osborn, Logan Riley, Melissa Dowell, Michelle Vaughan, Molly Crabapple, Pamela Martin, Paul Weiner, Rachel Mason, Rita J.
