MyMicroGallery is pleased to announce, from September 24 to October 5, 2015, “Nutrirsi di blu” (Nourishing Oneself with Blue), a solo exhibition by artist Tiziana Priori, curated by Stefania Carrozzini.

The artist presents twenty-seven works, including acrylics on paper and iron, and a previously unreleased installation created specifically for the gallery. For Tiziana Priori, artistic research has always been a work of deep initiation and the development of self-awareness. “Nutrirsi di Blu” (Nourishing Oneself with Blue), the exhibition presented at MyMicroGallery, fits into this journey and was born from the need to reflect on a pressing contemporary theme: the nourishment of the Planet and alternative strategies to guarantee a dignified sustenance for all beings, beyond the logic of profit.

The sea can be a vast reservoir for the food of the future; algae and other marine creatures may become our greatest allies for survival on our Planet. However, this investigation finds its true breadth and meaning in what lies beyond the discussion of resources, as art is an eternal presence—a creative process that inhabits the territories of the soul. Everything material has a beginning and an end because it is bound to time and space; that which transcends this phenomenal threshold stands as a human yearning toward the absolute.

Boundaries, the “here and now,” the “elsewhere,” immensity, and finiteness are all themes present in this exhibition, where the sea remains the great inspiring motif. Tiziana Priori invites us to feed on the infinite, to immerse ourselves in a universal and all-encompassing sensitivity. Blue is the color of the void—a space where energy fields vibrate, having the human consciousness as its driving and stabilizing center. To nourish oneself with Blue—the color of Cosmic Love and of the spirit—means accessing the space of sensitivity and purity of the heart.

A particular focus is given to “La meditazione per Gea” (Meditation for Gaia), a “prayer-work” and poetic example that manifests a vision of Mother Earth as a welcoming force—a mother who lovingly nourishes her children and has abundance for all. It is a sort of return to a legendary Eden, where blue serves as a vehicle for the transformation of the ego and the transmission of true, vital, and pulsating energy through the body and mind. For Tiziana Priori, Art is always a ritual of re-appropriating our Self. Nourishing oneself with blue is a timeless rite of purification. It does not only mean to purify, but also—like a baptism—to immerse, to permeate, and ultimately to satiate the hunger for creativity in all free beings who wish to evolve.
