MyMicroGallery is pleased to announce “Ready-Made”.

From October 28 to November 14, 2014, MyMicroGallery is pleased to announce “Ready-Made,” a solo exhibition by photographer Enrico Cattaneo, a protagonist and interpreter of a half-century of art history. Curated by Stefania Carrozzini, the exhibition features seven previously unreleased photographic works.

This series of works is the result of a new research path where, for the first time, Enrico Cattaneo engages with the themes of the nude and the model. The shots, originating from an analog sequence, are re-photographed digitally, then again in analog, before completing the sequence in digital format. The final image is the one the photographer takes of the computer screen—an image that becomes an object, a Ready-Made.

Moving from the material to the immaterial, the recovery occurs at the exact moment the on-screen image provides an inspirational input to the artist; he seizes it and tears it from its virtual context to redefine it as an object. (SC)
