Ekatherina Savtchenko: Dance with the Earth

The exhibition, curated by Stefania Carrozzini, is a part of Photofestival circuit and consists of twelve works in a unique edition. At the center of Ekatherina Savtchenko research is her body with which expresses the feeling of being one with the Universe. Dance with the Earth takes us back to our roots: the earth it’s a like a great mother welcomes and also feeds the invisible beings. The photograph combines with the painting technique, starting from realistic figure then processes. The body merges with the elements, she attends a cosmic joy through dance, experiencing a total feeling of belonging to the force of creation. Her works are very intense and dynamic images that celebrate femininity and life. The artist’s body recovered in the movement seems to fly and vibrate with the landscape that often takes on fiery tones. Screened in a symbolic act where magma chthonic forces talks about the most mysterious part, but also more real being.
Ekatherina Savtchenko (www.ekatherinas.com) was born in Russia in St. Petersburg (Russia) she lives and works in New York and Dusseldorf. She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. She has been exhibited since 1989. Her works are in many private and public collections.
